Positions for Insertion

 

    • To insert a suppository into the rectum when you are lying with your knees pulled to your chest

 

    • Same position as the first one but standing with one leg up on a chair

 

    • Kneeling on all fours with the body and the anal area in a submissive position

 

Tips for Use

 

    • First, wash your hands thoroughly before and after the procedure

 

    • If the suppository is very soft, then freeze it in the refrigerator for a few minutes

 

    • Implement a lubricant to make insertion simpler

 

    • Make sure that the pointed end of the suppository is inserted

 

    • Remain in the position that you took for a few minutes before you leave

 

    • Try and make sure that the suppository stays in for 15-20 minutes at least

 

Potential Side Effects

 

    • Light burning and reddening of the rectum can be the problem if it is short-term and mild.

 

    • For a short time, one can feel tightness or feel full in the bowel.

 

    • Anal bleeding (occasional, yet, notify your doctor if you see blood)

 

    • Allergic reactions (which are not often, but still generic)
